5 Trends to Watch in Summer 2016

Summer is here and you know what that means, outdoor weddings are ready to take the season by the reins. We’re looking forward to helping Oklahoma brides plan their receptions flawlessly, and even more excited for the creative ideas they’ll bring to the table. From the tents and seating arrangements to the intricate details of the table centerpieces, we’re ready to take part in summer’s biggest wedding trends.

As you may know, we enjoy staying ahead of the game. This allows us to better collaborate with our brides, and perhaps present ideas they hadn’t thought of. 1. Bold Highlights

So long, long-lived pastels. It’s time to say hello to bold aquatic hues. Amazonian greens, teals, and pops of yellow pay homage to the 1970s creating a vibrant palette that pairs wonderfully with outdoor settings.

2. Glamorous Metallics 

When incorporating “highlight” colors, it’s important to establish complementary base tones to cool down the palette. Brides are opting for copper and rose golds which add instant sophistication to any decor style.

3. Just-Picked Florals

Wildflowers aren’t reserved for rustic weddings. The movement of the stems and branches complement bold accessories, creating a contemporary spin on romantic. 

4. Creative Seating 

No longer are reception layouts only composed of round tables. Brides are ditching the conference setup and using a mix of rectangular, square and found tables for a more intimate feel to encourage mingling. 

5. Lighting Galore 

Table lamps are a thing of the past. We’ve been seeing more and more chandeliers, lanterns, globe strands, and candles working together to create softer lighting for guests.
